Stance

In all board sports a confident relaxed stance is essential. Riding a Spindeck for a few minutes each day is a great way to improve your stance, develop muscle stamina and build confidence in your riding.

Your own stance is a matter of personal preference and varies from sport to sport but in general you should make sure your feet are about shoulder-width apart and pointing slightly outward. Your knees should be bent enough to be comfortable.

Your front foot is the foot you prefer to lead with (this is the foot you would step up onto a chair with). If you prefer riding left foot forward you're a 'regular', if you prefer riding right foot forward you are a member of the illustrious group of riders known as 'goofy'.
