Spindeck is now back in stock thats the great news from SLAMtechnologies. Our credit crunch induced loss of a key supplier has been resolved and a new player has joined the team. Thanks to everyone involved for all their help in getting us back up and running. Spindeck is once again the great product our customers love built to the highest standards. Huge apologies to all customers but we are currently out of stock on all Spindeck Products. We will not have any new stock for at least 4-6 weeks. We had one of our suppliers go out of business recently and have had to find alternative manufacturing capability. We'll chalk that one down to the credit crunch I guess. Press Release - Spindeck Announces Creative partnership with DBO and For Boarders By Boarders

4th August 2008: Spindeck is pleased to announce a new creative partnership with renowned artist DBO and For Boarders By Boarders.

The partnership will see DBO apply his unique style to three Spindeck board designs. The limited edition graphics will be released for sale on the Spindeck website as adhesive skins in October 2008. The collaboration will offer customers the opportunity to personalise their Spindeck training boards with a piece of the highest grade graphic art.

So in one sentence who is DBO and what do we need to know about him?

DBO is a complex creature who tends to like his beer warm and his tea cold, a simple contradiction which pretty much sums up his muddled existence.

How would you describe your art and does it have a label?

I think when you try to define anything, it becomes constrained. The fundamental thing for me behind creativity is freedom, my art is driven by a desire to be free from the constraints of modern society and just do what I want. I get lumped into a sort of ‘Street Art' category, which in reality is far removed from what my art is, well at least to me. Tree's were Tree's a long time before humans felt the need to label them.

What attracted you to the Spindeck Skins project?

Well when you said to me "you can do whatever you want" that was a definite selling point. But I guess what was important for me was that when I spoke to you guys I felt like I wanted to do something really good for you. Companies like Spindeck are what Business should be about, people doing something related to something they love, utilizing there relevant skills and enjoying it!

Document Snowboard Magazine have given the Spindeck their much coveted LabRat approval this month. Check out the what they had to say here:

It's early spring, you've not been able to escape to the mountains, can't afford to go to the fridges, it's too wet outside to skate, and surfing? Well, let's just say it's not happening. So what are you going to do to keep your balance and spin trickery dialled? Step in Mr Spindeck to fill the breach. Spindeck is a platform for you to learn new tricks and take your balance to a higher plane. Basically, it's a balance training board that tilts and spins in all directions so standing on it is (kind of) like riding for real as you try to pull turns, grabs, spin 3s. It owes its existence to the wobble board and the skateboard but it's made for spinning, which is what separates it from other balance trainers. We've been playing with it in the office and it does exactly what it says on the tin - tuning your core balance with just five minutes a day - and it's fun (you've got to see web editor Andy's face as he tries it)! Whether it improves our riding has yet to be put to the test.

VERDICT
Whether you're an absolute beginner, a competitive athlete or just someone who loves to ride, Spindeck is designed to help all riders improve balance and fitness and learn tricks. In fact, we're loathe to part with this piece of wood but, being the selfless creatures we are, we've got one up for grabs.
